I managed to finish and post a few new pieces right before I had to evacuate from hurricane Ike...I'm so glad I keep my work on an external hard drive rather than on my cpu. I was able to tuck my drive into my suitcase and head on out while the gettin' was good. These are currently available for purchase at downanddirty.etsy.com .

New Gypsy and Idiom Inspired Piece
My newest painting "The Hands of Fate" was inspired by two things: the gypsy tradition of palmistry and something one of my grandmother's used to say ("Every pot has a lid.").
This is number one in a series of five.
Here's a detail...to view the entire painting and listing just click here or visit downanddirty.etsy.com
